Another global warming lie exposed.

One of the tools that Warmegedisnests like to use in their never ending quest to try to convince people that the planet is warming is the tool called the Polar Bear.

 

An article appeared on Gather in 2008 perpetuating the myth that Polar bears were an endangered animal due to global warming and the loss of ice in the arctic, sure enough reading down the comments we had the usual warmegedisnests offering their pearls of wisdom.

 

While the Polar bear is an endangered animal it certainly was not due to global warming or as we now call it climate change it was endangered due to many people hunting them in the 50s 60s and early sixty's. It got so bad that it is estimated that there were only around 5,000 polar bears left in the world and in 1972, Marine Mammal Protection Act banned the hunting of them since then they have dramatically started to improve with an estimated 25,000 roaming the Arctic. So once more, we see an article pertaining to global warming that has left out the facts.

 

Facts such as around 500 a year are still legally hunted because the Inuit can still legally hunt one Polar bear a year and they sell that permit to hunt that Polar bear to hunters willing to pay up to $30,000 to hunt a polar bear in the arctic.

 

Now ask yourselves one question, it’s quite a simple question, why if the Polar bear is endangered due to global warming or climate change WHY are there 500 a year hunted and killed for pleasure? After all to the warmegedisnests global warming is doing them in and if we are not carful in a few years they will be all gone.

 

We are constantly told that the ice in the arctic is dwindling in summer. The article in question was written in 2008 it’s now 2013 more than enough time for the Polar bear to lose more of its number due to global warming or climate change. Let’s look if the population of the Polar bear as dwindled shall we.

So once more, we see another myth by the Warmegedisnests exposed, so called global warming or climate change has not seen a decline in the Polar bear population.

 

I love looking back at what they wrote about global warming in 2006-2007-2008 because it is on record about what they forecast has not come true. Such foolish people.
