A Wonderful, Positive Story......5 Strangers Donate Kidneys To 5 Seriously Ill Patients At A Local Hospital!

Here's an incredibly wonderful, encouraging story about the generosity and kindness of others....what a way to start the New Year!

One of our major local hospitals recently performed five kidney transplants, within the past three days......complete strangers went through a three-hour operation, giving one of the greatest gifts ever.......the gift of life.......to others seriously ill with kidney disease. None of the people had known each other prior to the operations.

After each procedure, the donor and recipient got to meet each other, in a real "tearjerker" meeting at the hospital.......it was just incredible to watch on t.v......everyone was in tears, including myself.

What incredible human beings.......giving the greatest gift of all........the gift of life.

I just had to share this.........there is so much discouraging, bad news anymore.........it is so refreshing, and encouraging, to read about such great "heroes."

Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed hearing about it on our  local news.

Isn't that a wonderful way to start out the New Year, though?

Hi Audrey! Geesh, I'm wondering where everyone is....Gather certainly has become quiet, hasn't it?!!!! Anyhow, I just thought this was an incredible thing........it's wonderful hearing positive things, not so much negative, dumb politics, etc., etc.!!!!!!!

I thought so, too! It's soooo refreshing, hearing/reading about such positive news, not all the bad "crap" that's going on in the world these days......Enough is enough for all the negative.....we need LOTS more positive stories like this!!!!

Oh Betty, it really is! As I was watching this story, there were sooooo many hugs and tears......and I was crying along with the rest......I wish there would be so many more POSITIVE news stories like this and not all the negative "crap" we're forever hearing about!

Yes, for sure, Larry! I was in tears when watching it all on t.v......I think even all of the medical staff, including the surgeons, were all in tears as well! It was an incredibly emotional time!!!!!

It was, Connie.......I just can't put it into words.........the greatest gift one can give to another.....a part of one's self.........it all was so very, very emotional.....I was crying along with everyone on the t.v.!!!

Why oh why can't the media show more stories like this? Don't they realize more people would tune in? In times like this we need to know that there is good in this world to. It would help uplift so many people's hearts.
Praise to these people who gave so unselfishly! If more of these stories would be told the effect from it would be so positive. Thank you for sharing this Nora. It's actually a treat to hear something positive for a change.

Yes, yes, Dee, I TOTALLY agree with you! It seems like the media just wants to dwell ONLY on the bad/negative stuff........all the time....we try to not watch much of the news coverage, as it's gotten so very depressing.......I like to tune in on the local stuff....that's how I learned about this.....it seems like our local channels LIKE to focus on the happy, positive stuff more!!!! Even a couple of our newscasters even said, "what a wonderful, uplifting story," about this!
It was such an incredible experience.....especially when the donor and recipient met each other......OMG, all the tears and hugs.....everybody was crying.....including me! It was so awesome, so incredible.......such wonderful gifts......the "gift of life." Can't get any better than that!
I'm so glad to share this wonderful story...........it really is so uplifting, and, I think, tends to restore one's faith in mankind, if you know what I mean!

This was such an incredible, heart warming experience........very, very emotional as well, especially when the donors and recipients met.......oh wow........lots and lots of tears and hugs.......by everybody, including myself, watching it....what a way to start out the New Year!!!!!

It was quite an incredible news story......very positive for a change....but this was a local story, and our local news stations tend to try to have more positive stories than the national news.........it was an incredibly emotional time for everyone involved.....I was crying right along with the rest of them!

I've not seen, or heard of, such an incredibly wonderful, positive story in such a long, long time.......it's just so amazing that there are still such caring, giving people around.........a highly emotional time for everybody!

That's amazing. I imagine it happens often enough for one stranger to donate to another, but surely 5 such operations is unusual.
At my age it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure I could do it for a stranger. They are definitely people with huge hearts.

It was a 30-year-old man who got the whole thing started......he had said that he was thankful for such good health and he wanted to help those who were not so fortunate.......what an incredible story, and yes, it's so refreshing to know that there still ARE people out there with huge hearts.......the greatest gift of all...the gift of life!!

This is nice,, I had a dear friend get a double lung transplant,, she met the sister of the donor,, they are now best of friends
